Each year animals are subjected to cruelty under the guise of entertainment. They suffer whilst being forced to perform in circus acts operating in Scotland and throughout the UK.
The Scottish Parliament has voted to ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses. Changes to law however won't include domesticated species, the type of animal now overwhelmingly exploited in 'performances'.
Static circuses also won't be covered.
This battle is far from won, the show will roll on without your help.
Over the years time and time again the cruelty and brutality present in this industry has been exposed.
Animals don't perform naturally. They're forced into submission and transported from city to city, from town to town, being exploited for money.
This needs to end.
